Scandia evolved from the family business of its chairman, Otto Priess. Having fished from the pristine waters of the Danish Fjords for generations, it is Otto’s family heritage and the love for real food that has formed the backbone of the Scandia business today.


In 1988 Scandia came to the UK, bringing the Scandinavian ethos of simply produced, quality food to British shores. As the business expanded, Ocean Crown Cockles and Mussels were stocked in UK retailers nationwide.

Building on our Scandinavian roots, we now work with a network of experienced producers who share our passion for creating happily produced, healthy and responsibly sourced food.
